Liquid Zinc is also used as a taste test to screen for zinc status. 10 mL of Liquid Zinc should be retained in the mouth for 10 seconds, then swallowed. If there is no specific sensation or a slight metallic taste, supplement with Liquid Zinc at the recommended adult dose. If there is a definite or strongly unpleasant taste, supplement with Zinc Plus tablets.
