What is Tigernut Flour? Put simply, we're milled Tigernuts. And that makes us a delicious gluten, nut and allergen free alternative to wheat and nut flours.
We’re still just Tigernuts. And still completely natural. Plus we retain our good fats, vitamins and minerals. Not to mention our resistant starch and fibre content, so your good gut bacteria will give you a little high five.
We get along great with people of all ages and intolerances, so you can use us in your favourite recipes, in smoothies or even on cereal.
When cooking, use as an alternative to traditional and nut flours at a ratio of 1:1.

What are Tigernuts?
Tigernuts are not nuts, but tiny tubers (root vegetables). Tigernuts are the small edible bulbs of the Cyperus esculentus var. sativus plant, a grass-like species native to Africa.
Can I eat Tigernuts if I suffer from nut allergies?
Tigernuts are not nuts, they are a root vegetable from the Tuber family. Whilst Terra Firma take the utmost care to ensure their product is packaged in a nut-free environment, there is a chance that Terra Firma Foods Tigernuts and Tigernut Flour contain almonds and traces of peanuts due to the environment in which they are packaged.
Are Your Tigernuts Organic?
Terra Firma Foods Tigernuts and Tigernut Flour are European certified organic. However to have Tigernuts certified as Australian organic requires an additional assessment of every step of the supply chain.
In order to keep the cost of Tigernuts to the consumer as low as possible, we have chosen not to undertake this certification process at this point in time. However, we can guarantee that no nasty herbicides or pesticides are used during the growing, harvesting and storage process of our Tigernuts.
