This unique formulation contains fibre and oligosaccharides (stachyose) to support the growth and health of the beneficial microflora in the gut. Oligosaccharides have also been found to disrupt the adhesion of pathogens to host cells by acting as an antiadhesion agent.

Stachyose is a tetrasaccharide, and has been shown to support the growth of Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli. Bifidobacteria, together with some lactobacillus species play an important role in the eco-physiology of the colonic microbiota. These organisms have been linked to increased resistance to infection and diarrhoeal disease and stimulation of immune system activity.

Glutamine is an important addition due to its role in fueling enterocyte activity for increased uptake of nutrients from the digestive tract. Glutamine also assists in repairing tight gap junctions in the gut.

This combination contains a mixture of 10 different species of probiotics, with 30.5 billion microorganisms per a serve!
