HealthWise® NAC: N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine is 100% pure pharmaceutical grade amino acid powder, derived from the amino acid L-Cysteine.
This 'acetylated' form is more soluble and more stable than L-cysteine which plays an important role in the production of the free radical fighter, Glutathione.
NAC is a valuable amino acid antioxidant supplement - most commonly known for detoxification of the liver and the efficient breakdown of mucus.

HealthWise® Amino Powders are pure pharmaceutical grade powders and are packed by weight not volume, without the use of fillers or flowing agents. Some of the powders are slightly hygroscopic (retain moisture) and this can result in clumping. This can be broken apart with a spoon before taking or dissolved in water.

TIPS:
If you use NAC for more than a month, add a mixed amino acid complex to your treatment regimen to ensure that you are getting adequate, balanced amounts of all the Amino acids.
Tips for absorption of NAC: NAC is most effective when taken on an empty stomach, with a small amount of Vitamin C powder. Vit C enhances the conversion of NAC to Glutathione. If you've added a mixed amino acid complex to your NAC regimen, be sure to take it on an empty stomach as well, but at a different time of the day than you take the NAC.
As the Acetyl portion of the amino acid is quite irritating to the teeth, taking it through a straw is advised, and it also makes it more palatable.
