How it works:
In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), the digestive process is regulated by the Spleen and Stomach which transform food to form Qi (energy) essential for all other processes in the body. They also function to transport non-essential ‘turbid’ substances from food for waste removal. Therefore, the health of the Spleen and Stomach are considered foundational for overall wellbeing, and gastrointestinal problems can be attributed to their disharmony. Classically, this may manifest as abdominal discomfort, bloating and lack of appetite.
Longstanding deficiency of these organs may lead to adverse direction of Qi flow (‘rebellious Qi’) which can manifest as nausea, vomiting, acid reflux or diarrhoea.
The Spleen is particularly prone to Dampness which can arise from poor digestive function or an excess intake of greasy, fried or sweet foods and alcohol. The accumulation of Dampness is characterised by a range of symptoms including sluggish digestion.
Digest-10 is formulated to target various symptoms related to gastrointestinal disturbance. By using a synergistic combination of Western and Chinese herbs the formula supports digestion, tonifies and regulates Spleen and Stomach Qi, and transforms Dampness.
Recommended Dosage
- Adult: Take 1 tablet 3 times daily.
- Child 2-12 years: Take ½ tablet 3 times daily. For children 2-6 years, tablet must be crushed and mixed with syrup or honey. Best taken ½-1 hour before meals.
